mp4 videos, removing all videos, from \Steam\steamapps\common\ASTRONEER\Astro\Content\Movies Verifying integrity of game files in Steam Wiping the whole %LOCALAPPDATA%\Astro\ from old saves I might have had from years ago Solutions I tried that didn't work for me: This issue is only occurring while Steam is in online mode.

#ASTRONEER STEAM LOGO OFFLINE#
The game works when Steam is set to offline mode. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what else I can try to get the game to run properly? It seems funny that I was able to play the game years ago when it just came out, but can not play it today when it's supposed to be much more stable. I, however, can run all other major games with no issues at all.

Among the solutions that didn't work for me: deleting configs and old saves from %localappdata%, changing configs, deleting loading screen videos, trying to update C++ 2015 dists, updating graphics card drivers, all drivers in general, updating windows, and other small fixes that didn't help. However, after trying literally every single advice there was the problem still hasn't fixed itself. I have found some information on the issue, and judging by recent posts on the Astroneer community forum I am definitely not alone with this. I wouldn't even call it a crash if I knew it wasn't supposed to be like that, as it doesn't give any error messages or other information. It crashes right before the menu would normally appear. The game does start, but after the loading screen and "loading solar system" sign with circles spinning around it just closes. I've been trying to fix this problem for a while, but had no luck so far.
